PROCEDURE : After processing the slide for FISH, the same slide was processed for Giemsa staining to check the presence of BCR signal on different chromosome. The above produced picture clearly suggest the translocation of BCR on abnormal chromosome 12.

ON INTERPHASE CELLS STUDIED THE FINDING WERE AS FOLLOWING :

  1. Normal orange signal (ABL) on chromosome 9.
  2. Normal orange signal (ABL) on abn. Chr. 9.
  3. Normal green signal (BCR) on chromosome 22.
  4. Normal green signal (BCR) on abn. Chr. 12.
  5. BCR/ABL fusion on chromosome 22.
